Pay Range: $115,000-$140,000
We are recruiting a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Buffalo General Hospital/Gates Vascular Institute to work with a busy cardiothoracic surgery service in the CVICU located in Buffalo, NY.
The Great Lakes Cardiothoracic surgeons at Kaleida Health perform more than 700 surgical cases on annual basis at the Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI). The Gates Vascular Institute (GVI) features four floors dedicated to comprehensive vascular care, revolutionary neurological procedures, and cardiac services unavailable anywhere else in the region.
The candidate will be joining a group of 4 Cardiothoracic Surgeons and 10 APPS within the CVICU at Great Lakes Cardiovascular. Our cardiology team includes non-invasive, electrophysiology, interventional and structural heart specialists. We are part of Kaleida Health System, Western New York’s largest healthcare system, serving eight counties in the state of New York.
The applicant should be self -motivated, work well with others, and work well under pressure.
This is a full- time position that includes a rotation of 12- hour rotating day, night, weekend shifts. 3x a week. No Call requirements.
The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiology or cardiothoracic surgery or ICU management. Previous experience is preferred. Candidates should be available for nights, weekends, holidays.
Education And Experience
Graduate of accredited program with Current NYS Physician Assistant Licensure and Active Board Certification, Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire. CPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP) required.
